Privacy Policy
Daymory Closed Beta — Last updated: May 2026 — Hebrew version coming soon.
This policy describes what data Daymory collects, why we collect it, who can access it, and how you can
request deletion of your data. Daymory is a private event-media service, currently in closed beta.
1. What Data We Collect
Event owners:
- Email address (used to create your owner account and send magic sign-in links)
- Event metadata you create (event name, date, settings)
- Session cookies for authentication
- Technical logs (IP address, access times, errors) for security and debugging
Guests:
- Photos and videos you upload to an event
- Optional display name and email address (if you choose to provide them)
- Optional handle/username (if you choose to provide one)
- Consent choices you make during the upload flow
- Session token stored in your browser for upload continuity
- Technical logs (IP address, upload timestamps) for security and support
2. Why We Use Your Data
- Event delivery: To enable event owners to receive guest uploads and create event highlights.
- AI generation: Your event media is used to create photo collages, video recaps, and related highlights as requested by the event owner. AI motion clip generation via cloud providers is currently inactive.
- Authentication: Email addresses are used to send secure magic sign-in links. No passwords are stored.
- Support: Logs and contact data are used to respond to support requests and investigate issues.
- Security: Technical logs are retained temporarily for abuse detection and rate-limiting.
3. Who Can See Your Media
- Event owner: Can see and curate all uploads for their event.
- Daymory operator/admin: Can access all data for support, moderation, and platform maintenance.
- Generated output recipients: If the event owner creates and shares a recap, the recipients of that shared output can see the generated highlight.
- Other guests: Guests do not have direct access to other guests' uploads unless the event owner shares generated outputs with all attendees.
- Third parties: We do not sell, trade, or share your personal data or event media with third parties, except as required by law.
4. Media Storage & Retention
Uploaded photos and videos are stored in a private object-storage system on Daymory's servers.
They are not publicly accessible. Export and download are controlled by the event owner based on
per-upload consent choices made by each guest.
During closed beta, retention periods and automated deletion workflows are evolving.
There is currently no guaranteed deletion date for event media. If you want your uploads removed,
follow the deletion request process below.
5. Cookies & Sessions
Daymory uses:
- An HttpOnly session cookie for authenticated owner and admin sessions.
- A browser-local session token (localStorage) for guest upload continuity.
- No advertising, analytics, or tracking cookies from third parties.
6. Data Deletion & Removal Requests
You have the right to request deletion of your personal data. To request removal of your uploads,
display name, email, or account data:
Email support@daymory.app with:
- The event link (URL) you uploaded to, and/or
- The email address you used when registering or uploading
We will process deletion requests manually during closed beta. Automated self-service deletion tools are
in development.
7. Data Transfers
Daymory operates on servers located in the European Union. Cloud AI generation services (currently inactive)
would transmit selected event media to third-party AI providers for processing. No such transfer is active
during closed beta.
8. Children
Daymory is not directed at children under 16. If you believe a minor's data has been collected without
appropriate consent, contact support@daymory.app for removal.
9. Changes
This policy may be updated as the service evolves. The "last updated" date at the top will reflect
any changes. Significant changes will be communicated to event owners via email where applicable.
